The Dallas International School hosted its “A Passage to India” Gala and Auction, Saturday, March 31st at the Dallas World Trade Center. Featuring Indian Fusion cuisine, sari-draped guests and Bollywood music, the event raised $200,000 that will go towards a new library software system, and academic, educational and sports equipment for the 3 year old through 12th grade school. Each year, the multi-lingual school chooses a different country to study throughout the school year. The arts, history, and culture of the country are explored throughout all grade levels as part of the school’s mission to promote understanding of other cultures.
