PTO membership has been extended to all DIS parents and employees of Dallas International School. All DIS Parents and Staff are automatic members unless declared otherwise to the PTO board.
The General Election for the 2009-2010 PTO Board positions will be held Thursday, May 21st at the PTO General Assembly meeting at 7pm at Chic de Barcelona restaurant (11909 Preston Road Suite 1426 Dallas, TX). The procedure will be to hand each adult a ballot when they sign in for the meeting. The list we be extracted from the RenWeb directory. If you would like to vote, your name must appear on that list. Please check the RenWeb directory list and if your name is not there, you must contact Sheila Kelly ASAP, to add your name. We encourage each adult to verify that their names are listed. This will be each voter’s responsibility.

DIS PTO a besoin de vous!
Vous souhaitez vous impliquez plus pour lécole ? Vous cherchez un moyen de faire la différence pour DIS ? Vous voulez interagir plus fortement avec la communauté de parents, de professeurs et léquipe administrative de DIS ?
Donner du temps et de lénergie pour aider DIS est important pour lécole et gratifiant en tant que parent.
Merci de poser votre candidature pour un des postes du PTO pour lannée scolaire 2009-2010.
Les postes ouverts sont :
- Président
- Vice-président
- Trésorier
- Secrétaire
- Responsable des donations
- Coordinateur des parents en classe Maternelle
- Coordinateur des parents en classe Primaire
- Coordinateur des parents en classe Secondaire
A ce jour, le comité des élections du bureau recherche des candidats pour tous les postes. Aucune expérience préliminaire de participation au PTO nest attendue (tous les bizuths sont acceptés !).
Vous avez besoin de plus dinformations.
Nhésitez pas à contacter les membres du comité des élections (voir courriels plus bas) ou bien venez participer aux réunions dinformation lundi 4 mai 2009 prochain à 8 :30 ou à 17 :30. Les informations seront communiquées en Anglais et en Français.
Les parents intéressés auront à répondre à un questionnaire succinct dici au jeudi 7 mai 2009. Ces réponses seront mises à disposition de lensemble de la communauté de DIS à compter du 8 mai 2009. Les élections des membres du bureau auront lieu le Jeudi 14 Mai 2009 lors de lassemblée générale.
Quelques dates à retenir :
- Lundi 4 Mai 2009 à 8 :30 et à 17 :30 : le comité des élections organise des réunions dinformations ouvertes à tous les parents dans la cafétéria du haut (du café et des rafraichissements seront servis).
- Jeudi 7 Mai 2009 : compléter et envoyer (via courriel) vos réponses au questionnaire de candidature à tout membre du comité des élections (voir liste plus bas) pour que
- Vendredi 14 Mai 2009 : le comité des élections envoie par courriel vous réponses à lensemble des familles de DIS.
- Jeudi 21 Mai 2009 : assemblée générale du PTO et élection des nouveaux membres du bureau.
